Who I am, what I think...

It's me painting one of my frescoes...

For me Art is not just decoration, nor a copy of reality.

I like to think of the artist, in its romantic meaning, like the very special man who can see inside and further the physical reality of nature, and who can also show to common man what is hidden under the surface of everything.

I think a painting is really "talking" to us when it can bring out emotions which can really touch our inner feelings from the representation of an object or a situation..

I like to take something to start with from the paintings of other artists, still I can't copy, because I always love to put something mine according to my sensibility and feelings. sono capace di And this is my spirit when visiting an exposition: to learn new ways of looking at reality or represent thinking.

I tried and tested various way of art: oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolours... and also other techniques simply decorative such as decoupage...

Lately I became keen on the modern fresco technique, which is used in stage design to imitate the ancient frescoes.
You will find moore information about this technique in the fresco section of the artists' guide...

At first I took something as a starting point from the ancient artists to recreate an ancient fresco, then I found my way of painting, and I realized something completely mine, new and original, which slips out of ancient and historical rules.

The most exacting work not only for the dimensions, but also for the richness of details are the frescoes in villa.
