The maple in the living-room

The magic of a forest in a small corner of the house: a soft yellow light warmes the room and a fantastic maple stands out on the entrance door.

Let's change the colour of the walls and the door, helped by brush and fantasy we can change radically the mood of a room.

The drawings and explanations are published on N.22 of the Italian magazine "Casa Chic" from April 2008

The Trompe l'Oeil wardrobe

The good season blooms in the kid's room.

This is the magic of the Trompe l'Oeil, which can bring a garden into a room, pulling down walls and enlarging spaces. An old wardrobe with sliding doors, some azure water paint and acrylics colours, some decoupage details and it's enough to give life to the kid's room.

The wardrobe was hand painted using stencils and decoupage techniques too, which simplify and speed up the work: for example the leaves of the tree were realized with the stencil masks, while some details such as the flowers, the butterflies and the birds have been taken from decoupage paper or magazines concerned with nature.

Step by step explanation and the drawings have been published in the first number of magazine "Casa Chic"

Picture of the window

The window with the black and white cat

This trompe l'oeil window looking on a flowery meadow was made on commission and ispired by the owner's cat, which gives liveliness to the composition. The depth effect was given by the drawing of the foreshortened window, and by a precise choice of colors and tones: colder and more shaded for the farthest flower, warmer and sharper for the nearest roses.
